Lower Wharfedale Oil Syndicate

The oil syndicate has now successfully completed three orders with the latest being in excess of 30,000 litre. The price per litre for the August, October and December orders were 53.20p, 53.90p and 37.20 respectively which is approximately a 3p per litre saving. That’s £30 saving on a typical 1,000 litre order.

Run by volunteers, Lower Wharfedale Oil Syndicate was established to reduce the cost of heating oil to the community by combining demand into one bulk purchase in order to get the best possible price for you.

The syndicate covers the following villages in the Lower Wharfedale Parish area: Kearby with Netherby, Huby, Dunkeswick, North Rigton, Weeton, Stainburn, Kirkby Overblow, Sicklinghall, Pool in Wharfedale and Arthington.

Order Schedule – 2011/12

The cut-off for orders is 17:00 on the order by date. By placing an order you agree to the terms of membership on the LWOS website or membership application form.

Ordering Oil

Once you have joined the syndicate you can place your oil order via the Lower Wharfedale Oil Syndicate website or, for those who do not have access to the internet, via the post. A couple of order forms will be sent out with your application form, replacements will be sent out on request.
